Erik and his wife Kathy have 4 children, three of whom are enrolled at Providence and one is a recent Providence graduate. They attend Emmanuel Church, where he is an elder. Together, he and Kathy volunteer with Young Life Capernaum and look for ways to serve kids with disabilities.

In his spare time, Erik enjoys exercising outdoors and trying to stay in shape for the occasional triathlon. He has always endeavored to balance athletic and academic pursuits, and delights to see Providence students doing the same.
