Student Ministries
As Christians we desire to serve God in thought, word, and deed. While we encourage all our students to get involved with ministries and missions in their local churches, we also take part in annual service opportunities in both the grammar and secondary school. Service projects offer our students the opportunity to share the love of Christ with neighbors in our local community by performing acts of service and kindness to those in need.
We seek opportunities in both the grammar and the secondary school that will challenge our students to step outside of their comfort zones and expand their understanding of what it means to spread the good news of the gospel. Examples of service projects in the past include helping at a food bank, singing at a rest home, landscaping for retired missionaries, collecting clothing, and working on a farm.
A distinctive of Student Ministries is that it is fully student run. While of course there is staff oversight, project ideas, fundraising, and organization all come directly from Providence students. These are students who take the knowledge learned in our classes and translate it into active faith.
