Erik became involved with Providence in 2002 when, as a college student, he coached the first Boys basketball team. After earning his BS in Computer Engineering from the University of Washington, he began working at Microsoft where he is a Principal Software Engineering Manager.
Erik and his wife Kathy have 4 children, all of whom are enrolled at Providence. They attend Emmanuel Church, where he is an elder. Together, he and Kathy volunteer with Young Life Capernaum and look for ways to serve kids with disabilities.
In his spare time, Erik enjoys exercising outdoors and trying to stay in shape for the occasional triathlon. He has always endeavored to balance athletic and academic pursuits, and delights to see Providence students doing the same.
