We want to warmly welcome you! We offer close guidance to incoming students and parents, so families have clear goals toward their child’s academic onboarding. Our admissions process ensures academic support if study and re-assessment are needed, to finalize best placement.

Assessment Support & Academic Summer Sessions

Incoming Grades K-6

Careful consideration is given to each admissions assessment and is reviewed by the grammar school principal and select faculty. Our goal is to ensure thoughtful student placement for long-term social and academic fit.

Incoming K-3 students may receive needed support in phonograms and reading through a variety of methods.

When academic student support is needed, customized study and/or and tutoring recommendations are given, and re-assessment is scheduled.

Incoming Grades 7-12

Transcripts are carefully evaluated by the academic dean and secondary principal for considerate student placement. Each of our academic department heads takes time to review assessments and make personalized academic plans. Our high-touch approach ensures students are given tools to rise to the incoming standard, including recommendations for tutoring, online modules, and study materials. A week-long, half-day Academic Summer Session in Latin is mandatory for incoming grades 7 and 8 unless a student is transferring from another classical school.

Flexible Math Block

Many families are thankful for our carefully synchronized math block between grades beginning in grade 4. This flexibility allows students to shift up or down a level in math without a disruption to their daily schedule.

Academic Summer Sessions

Upon successful re-assessment, students are scheduled for half-day, week-long summer sessions in Latin, English grammar, and writing. Academic Summer Sessions are mandatory unless a student is transferring from another classical school. Led by our caring and expert faculty, these summer sessions build the confidence and skill of incoming students.
